Our teachers are all native / fluent speakers with previous experience working with children. They will not only be teaching their native language, they will also be incorporating native traditions, songs, books and culture into their classes.

Aline ~ French and Italian

A native French speaker from Switzerland, Aline studied languages in Paris, Monterey Bay and Geneva. She has a Bachelor’s degree in foreign languages from the University of Paris X Nanterre and a Master’s degree in Translation from the prestigious Ecole de Traduction et d’Interprétation, (ETI) at the University of Geneva. As a professional translator, her primary languages are French, English and Italian. However, she is also fluent in Spanish. Aline teaches French as a foreign language at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels, and offers one-on-one tutoring services from preschool to highschool to adults.
As Program Director for Little Lingua, Aline is deeply committed to Little Lingua’s expanding vision of engaging in foreign languages at an early age. As such, she is currently writing a new foreign language curriculum for elementary school children.

Anne Marie ~ French

Anne Marie is a native accredited French teacher. She lived and taught as an elementary school teacher in Paris for 7 years, taught for 4 years as a kindergarten teacher at the French American International School in San Francisco, and taught 10 years at the Lycee Francais as a pre-k, kindergarten and elementary school teacher. She has 2 bilingual children, now 12 and 14. In addition to teaching at Little Lingua, she also offers private and group lessons for children and adults.

Monika ~ German

Monika is a German native. She studied architecture at the Munich Technical College in Munich, Germany. Upon moving to California, she worked for Pacific Design Group. When her first child was born, Monika decided to stay at home with her son to teach him the German language. Both of her children are now fluent in German and English. For the past four years Monika has been a weekly classroom volunteer in her kids' elementary school in San Rafael, and for two years she has been leading a play group for children under five.

Gloria ~ Spanish (photo coming soon)

Gloria is a native of Peru. She is currently enrolled at College of Marin, getting her teaching credential in Early Childhood Education. In addition to teaching for Little Lingua, she teaches Spanish at a preschool in Corte Madera. She has many years of experience working with young children and loves the opportunity to bring her culture and love of Spanish to their lives.
